I really want to like this game. In theory, it should be something that grabbed me and that would have forced me to bug my friends into submission, but I just can’t get through it. I have been trying to get my friends to check this game out, but I could tell that it was going to take some convincing. How can I expect them to pay $60 for a game that I wasn’t even too sure about? Apparently, I’m pretty good at negotiations and was able to get my friends to try it out. (That and anyone can get a 14 day free trail to Xbox Game Pass, which allows you to play Sea of Thieves for free). Over […]
I heard all of the excitement surrounding Sea of Thieves and I felt as though this would be the game for me. I don’t know why, but I think my favorite aspect of Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag was the sailing. The idea that you can just be out in the water and discover new […]
what is life without the experiences that you live and learn from? Whether your journey through life is pleasant or traumatic, we rely on our memories to give us drive and clarity. The idea of losing my mind is one of my worst fears. Not spiders. Not poverty. The idea that one day I could wake up and forget everyone […]
Recently, another mass shooting plagued the United States, and this time it was directed at a high school in Florida. Many students, who were feeling as though they were as safe as they could be, ended up in the middle of a situation that very few have ever and will ever experience. Students were killed and many more injured […]
Is Mario the legend that we know, or the villain we fear he could become?
Thanks to Kim over at Later Levels for the question!
The internet is a wonderful thing for all of us. It allows those without a voice to finally be heard. It gives people that have something to say a platform to stand on and make their community stronger. But, what happens when the very thing that we hold dear is threatened? In just a couple of days, Congress will vote […]
This is my submission to Adventure Rules Charming and Open Community Event. Enjoy!
As reported by Gamespot, Belgium’s gambling authority, the Belgian Gaming Commission, has launched an investigation into Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and Overwatch to determine if the loot boxes in those games constitute gambling. Belgium claims that because players receive loot from loot boxes on a random basis, it is fair to say that players are essentially gambling with real money […]
When I first played Xenoblade for the 3ds, I was not sure what to expect. I had read a couple of reviews and watched some videos in order to try and figure out what was going on. Most of it confused me, but I could kinda see where they were going with it. So with a job that offered me some down time, and some extra money burning a whole in my pocket, I decided to pick it up and give it a shot. Hands down one of the better surprise games that I had ever played. I loved the combat, the art direction, the cast of characters, and the story. Pretty rare to find a game that can actually […]
There is no denying that video games have come a long way. Some of the first video games that I played are now being produced for handheld systems at a fraction of the cost that my parents spent in order for me to enjoy the 16 bit masterpieces. As time presses on, technology doubles and triples in its capabilities to […]
It has been a while since i have posted anything on my site. I have been working like crazy and trying to finish all of my wedding preparations. I love games and I love writing, but sometimes situations cause me to no longer have a choice in regards to what I am aloud to do with my time and unfortunately I do have to do adult stuff. That being said, I did have few opportunities to play some pretty fun games and now that I have some time to kill, I’m going to post my reviews for said games starting with Uncharted: Lost Legacy. Developer: Naughty Dog Platform: PlayStation 4 Release date: August 22, 2017 I have been a huge […]
“Hell is reaching deep inside of her. She has dreamt of this before. They say dreams are visions as thoughts of our hopes and fears as dreamed by our inner eye. But, what if each one of us is dreaming even when we are awake and all we can see is what our inner eye creates for us. Is this […]
You are in your bed, sound asleep, recharging your batteries for the next day. You wake up feeling remarkably refreshed, perhaps thinking that the new workout you did the night before caused you to sleep harder than you ever have. You reach over for your phone and check to see if you have any messages, when you notice that it will not turn on. A slight panic washes over you. Did I forget to plug in my phone again? How many calls have I missed? What time is it? Because of cell phones, most people will forget that they actually had to tell time by looking at something called a clock. Now fully awake, you throw the blankets off and […]
Developer: Nintendo Release Date: July 21, 2017 Platform: Nintendo Switch Splatoon 2 is a third person action shooter with a lot of charm and personality. I never had the opprotunity to play the first Splatoon but was always curious by it. I watched a few Twitch competitions and always liked the idea behind it. At the beginning of the month, I had the opprotunity to play the demo for this game and ended being pretty impressed with the little amount of time that the demo allowed. It drew me in with the colorful world, interesting characters, and pretty simple game mechanics. Beginning of the game You start the game with the same tutorial that you would have gotten if you […]
